My main home computer is a Windows PC. Custom built, fancy graphics card, fancy power supply, the works. Built to outperform any system designed in Cupertino... but I digress. I have a small 40GB SSD drive which I bought to be the boot drive for my system. It works fantastically. My Windows 7 system boots from cold boot up to login screen in under 10 seconds. I didn't even know Bryan, but this is what I do know: he left us too soon. Bryan was born with cystic fibrosis, and his family knew his time would be short. Bryan passed away on March 31st, 2005. The painters spent all day here today to paint our bedroom (a very large master bedroom), new bathroom, and new closet. They arrived at 8 and didn't leave till after 6. OK, so no link here, but just wanted to point out that Microsoft XP backup utility is pretty useful. If you launch in advanced mode, choose tools->options, you can exclude file types. If you don't want to type them in one at a time with three clicks in between, you can edit the reg key at [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Control \ BackupRestore \ FilesNotToBackup \ NTBackup].
